Accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), Commonwealth Eye Surgicenter is Central Kentucky’s first ophthalmic surgical facility dedicated solely to the surgical care of the eye. Unlike hospitals or other ambulatory surgical centers whose staff is trained in general surgery, our staff is intensively trained in ophthalmology, affording you superior subspecialty care.In addition, you will be in well-trained and highly experienced hands when you have your surgery at Commonwealth Eye Surgicenter. Since 1985, Dr. Ferguson has performed more than 55,000 successful ophthalmic surgeries. His experience in performing over 36,000 cataract/implant procedures provides you the most experienced cataract surgeon in the state of Kentucky. He is “the doctor the doctors choose”, having performed more cataract and refractive surgeries on the families of eye doctors than any other surgeon in Kentucky.
Dr. Ferguson has performed more than 7,000 laser refractive procedures and in excess of 14,000 Argon and YAG laser procedures. Dr. Ferguson’s vast experience and passion for excellence equates to superior surgical outcomes for you, our patient.
