
Christopher J. Kuc, OD, FAAO
Christopher J. Kuc, OD, FAAO, brings over two decades of experience as a clinician and eye care thought leader to his new role in the Louisville clinic of Commonwealth Eye Surgery. He graduated from Grove City College near Pittsburgh with a BS in Molecular Biology and received his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia in 2003. Dr. Kuc is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. During his time in Pennsylvania, he served as Trustee on the Board of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and has served as President of the local optometric society.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Kuc gained unparalleled experience managing corneal surface disease, dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic eye care, macular degeneration, and emergency eye care. He is an experienced surgical co-manager, having guided thousands of patients through the perioperative period in collaboration with some of the country's top surgeons at Virginia Eye Consultants and Chester County Eye Care, and is a certified Adjustment Specialist for the Light Adjustable Lens. He has served as adjunct clinical professor for Pacific University College of Optometry, Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and Southern College of Optometry. Dr. Kuc has been published in a peer-reviewed eye journal and has consistently contributed to national optometry publications. He is a sought-after lecturer on a local and national level on ocular disease management, and routinely provides continuing education programs for his fellow optometrists.
