1 Day Post Lasik Surgery
March 8, 2011Nearsightedness Becoming More Common
March 10, 2011This is a blog post made by one of our LASIK customers. Stephanie gave us a walk-through write-up of her LASIK experience at Commonwealth Eye Surgery and we wanted to share her experience with you….
I am still amazed by how well I am seeing only 2 days after LASIK. I still have no dryness to report! My eyes feel totally normal. I did drive last night and noticed some halos around headlights. Dr. Findley said that was normal for the first few weeks after surgery, and should decrease after my eyes and brain get back in sync. It isn’t bothersome and doesn’t inhibit my driving skills, so I’m not complaining!
I love waking up and being able to see the alarm clock! Before LASIK, if I woke up in the middle of the night and wanted to know what time it was, I’d have to physically pick my alarm clock off of my nightstand and bring it closer to my face to see the time. My vision was that poor. I know it sounds trivial, but it is so nice to be able to see the numbers on the clock without having to go through all of that! Another thing I find myself doing is waking up in the morning and, before opening my eyes, blindly feeling around on my nightstand for my glasses. I have to remind myself that I don’t need those anymore! I really have to laugh at myself because this “glasses search” is no longer necessary and I can just open my eyes, pop out of bed, and not worry about glasses or contacts. It is a nice change in routine!
