We have seen the Light
July 10, 2010I was near sighted most of my life
July 10, 2010I didn’t need glasses until I was in college. I blamed it all on the studying. Whether it was for that reason or just age, it was time for me to get glasses. In addition to feeling awkward wearing them, they were also a pain. They made my make-up glob where they touched my face, got in the way a lot, and I misplaced them frequently. I didn’t need them to read, so I was constantly taking them on and off.
I got contacts and that helped, but I lost a couple of those, tore others, and had to take them out whenever I fell asleep. I also suffer from allergies and my contacts would get a build-up which was impossible to clean.I jumped at the chance to have LASIK when Dr. Ferguson told me I was a good candidate.
The surgery took only about 30 minutes and the result was immediate. The next day when I was examined, my eyesight was 20/20. It is wonderful to be able to wake up in the morning and see perfectly, go swimming and play sports without interference, and just have to fool with sunglasses.Dr. Ferguson performed my LASIK in December 1997.
I go back occasionally for check-ups and my eyesight is still perfect. Dr. Ferguson is an excellent surgeon and a caring person. Your eyesight is something you don’t want to trust to just anyone-you need someone who is experienced, meticulous, and has an excellent reputation. I would highly recommend Dr. Ferguson to anyone considering LASIK.
