Our Lexington office is three suites in one building at 2353 Alexandria Drive. The clinic is where you will have your consultation and exams, and where you can come back for follow up visits. Commonwealth Eye Surgicenter is our ambulatory surgery center. The LASIK Suite is where LASIK and PRK are performed.

Your consultation and exams at the clinic are with R. Marty Smith, OD or Howell M. Findley, OD for LASIK, PRK, cataract surgery, EVO ICL, refractive lens exchange, the Light Adjustable Lens, and YAG capsulotomy. Our surgeons consult when needed. Our model is co-management: after surgery, we send you back to your referring optometrist for follow up care. If you would rather be seen by us, R. Marty Smith, OD, Howell M. Findley, OD, or Keith Slayden, OD sees patients here at the clinic for routine follow up visits after LASIK and LASIK enhancements, PRK, cataract surgery, EVO ICL, refractive lens exchange, the Light Adjustable Lens, and YAG capsulotomy, with our surgeons as needed. The choice is yours. If you have a Light Adjustable Lens, your light adjustments are performed here at the clinic by a Commonwealth Eye Surgery optometrist, including if you are a patient of our Louisville office.

If you are having cataract surgery, EVO ICL, refractive lens exchange, Light Adjustable Lens surgery, or YAG capsulotomy in Lexington, it is performed here by Lance S. Ferguson, MD, Asim Piracha, MD, or Gary Wörtz, MD. Technology here is the LensAR femtosecond laser for cataract surgery and a YAG laser.

If you are having LASIK or PRK in Lexington, your procedure is performed in the LASIK Suite by Lance S. Ferguson, MD, Asim Piracha, MD, or Gary Wörtz, MD. The suite's technology is the WaveLight laser platform and the Ziemer femtosecond laser.
