Your first visit
Your consultation and exams are with Christopher J. Kuc, OD, our Louisville optometrist, for LASIK, PRK, cataract surgery, EVO ICL, refractive lens exchange, the Light Adjustable Lens, and YAG capsulotomy. Our surgeons, Asim Piracha, MD and Gary Wörtz, MD, consult when needed.
Where your procedure takes place
If you are having LASIK, PRK, or a LASIK enhancement, your procedure is performed here at the Louisville office by Asim Piracha, MD or Gary Wörtz, MD. LASIK here is performed with the WaveLight laser platform. If you need a YAG capsulotomy, Christopher J. Kuc, OD performs it in the office with a YAG laser.
Surgery for Louisville patients (cataract, EVO ICL, refractive lens exchange and LAL) is performed by our surgeons at DuPont Surgery Center, 4004 Dupont Circle, Louisville, KY 40207, (502) 896-6428. DuPont is a separate surgery facility.
If you have a Light Adjustable Lens, your light adjustments are performed at our Lexington clinic by a Commonwealth Eye Surgery optometrist, including for Louisville patients.
After your procedure
Our model is co-management: after surgery, we send you back to your referring optometrist for follow up care. If you would rather be seen by us, Christopher J. Kuc, OD sees patients here at the Louisville office for routine follow up visits after LASIK, PRK, cataract surgery, EVO ICL, refractive lens exchange, and YAG capsulotomy, with our surgeons as needed. The choice is yours.
